Who I am: My name is Karen and I'm the owner of Raven's Calling. 

Although I was raised Catholic, I've been an "out of the closet" pagan for about seven years. Fascinated with cultures, I completed an undergraduate degree in social and cultural anthropology, with a focus in religion and military. It is through both my studies and my own personal dealings with religion that the concept of Raven's Calling came about.

The vision: Raven's Calling started as an idea to promote communication between religions. I have found that a large majority of problems globally stem from poor communication, understanding and personal bias. I had thought a store where different religions could discuss and learn while obtaining the materials needed or wanted. It's an ideal, however, that cannot be achieved without community and over the passage of time.

The name: Ravens have been present in many religions throughout history, especially in Northern climates. Christian, Celtic, Norse and some Native North American cultures all have the Raven as a protector and wise-man role. The name was chosen in an effort to lend an air of support to those that have the courage to follow their own paths. All people are called onto an individual path and it is my hope that the calling is towards tolerance. And of course a satisfaction with the products purchased here.
